Our Vision

At The Prom Closets, our goal is to provide prom dresses, accessories, and beauty services to young women in local communities, allowing them to feel beautiful on their memorable day! We gather donations of new or gently used dresses and accessories year-round, distributing them to various high schools and teen programs each Spring.

My Story

I started The Prom Closets because I have a passion for fashion and wanted to use that to help girls in my community. Prom is a big deal for a lot of teens, and I realize not everyone has the chance to find a dress they feel amazing in. I wanted to create something that lets every girl walk into prom feeling confident, included, and like their best self!

Since 2023, I have organized dress drives and worked with teen groups to collect and donate over 300 dresses across the country! What started as a small idea has grown into something that’s really meaningful to me and so many others!

Prom 2026

As the 2026 prom season comes to an end, we are incredibly grateful to continue growing The Prom Closets through both longtime partnerships and new collaborations with truly amazing organizations.

The people behind these organizations are extraordinary. Their compassion, dedication, and commitment to their communities are truly inspiring, and we are so thankful to have had the privilege of working alongside them to make a meaningful impact.

This year, we’ve also been overwhelmed by the generosity of donors from across the country. Dresses, shoes, accessories, and support have arrived from so many different places, all coming together to help make prom more accessible for students everywhere.

What started as a small idea has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined, and it is truly an honor and privilege to be part of it. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this season so special.
